The best way to ensure that I eat a good breakfast every day is to prepare it well in advance, so I suggest you do the same: prepare freezing bags with the ingredients for each smoothie. They are all different, so you don’t think that healthy eating is boring.

I’ll leave you with a sample: an original pear recipe, included in the Power Smoothies E-book.

I use pears of the “rocha” variety, a typical Portuguese pear that, according to experts, has a higher antioxidant component compared to other varieties of pear. But you can use your favorite pears.

This combination of pears and mandarin orange is fresh and different from the usual banana based smoothie recipes. I think you’ll like it!

Roc-a-Baby Smoothie

The night before: prepare a cup of skim milk, with…

  • 1 tablespoon oats
  • 6 blanched almonds
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed

Cover and place in refrigerator.

Other ingredients:

  • 2 ripe pears (‘rocha’ or other variety), skinless and pitted
  • 1 mandarin orange peeled and pitted
  • 1 cup of spinach leaves
  • 1 tablespoon hemp protein
  • 1 teaspoon of brewer’s yeast (optional)

Method:

Place the milk preparation in the blender and blend for 30 seconds.

Add the remaining ingredients and blend until the smoothie is nice and creamy.
